Terms of use
The rules for using this website. Short, because the site does very little at this stage.

Before publishing, fill in the bracketed details below.
These terms cover an informational pre-launch site and nothing more. The moment you begin offering repayment plans, you will need a separate set of customer terms and a regulated credit agreement, both professionally drafted.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are between you and [Registered company name], company number [Company number], registered at [Registered address], which operates paymyfines.co.uk. By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.
2. This site is informational only
PayMyFines is in pre-launch. This website describes a service we intend to build. It does not currently allow you to buy anything, apply for anything, or transfer any money, and we hold no customer funds.
3. Nothing here is an offer of credit
Nothing on this site is an offer, invitation, or inducement to enter into a credit agreement, and nothing on it should be read as a financial promotion. We are not currently authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. If and when we are, this section will change and proper pre-contract information will be provided before anyone enters an agreement.
4. Nothing here is advice
The information on this site about penalty charge notices, escalation, enforcement fees, and appeal routes is general background, published in good faith to help people understand their situation. It is not legal advice, financial advice, or debt advice, and it is not tailored to you.
Always check the notice you actually received. Amounts, deadlines, and processes vary between issuing authorities and change over time. If you need advice, free and independent debt advice is available from StepChange, National Debtline, and Citizens Advice.
5. Accuracy
We try hard to keep the information here correct and current, and we cite the sources for the figures we quote. We cannot guarantee it is complete or up to date at the moment you read it, and we may change any of it without notice. Illustrative figures shown on this site, including the example repayment split on the homepage, are worked examples rather than quotes.
6. Joining the waitlist
Joining the waitlist places you under no obligation and gives you no entitlement. It is not an application, it does not reserve you a place, and it does not guarantee you will be offered access to any pilot. We may close, pause, or change the waitlist at any time.
You agree that the details you give us are your own and are accurate. You can be removed at any time by emailing us or using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Submit false, abusive, or unlawful content through any form on this site.
- Use the forms to send bulk, automated, or unsolicited messages.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site or any system connected to it.
- Copy or republish substantial parts of the site for commercial purposes without permission.
8. Intellectual property
The PayMyFines name, logo, written content, and design of this site belong to us or are used with permission. You may read, print, and share pages for your own personal use. You may not reuse them commercially without our written agreement.
9. Links to other sites
Where we link to organisations such as debt advice charities or tribunals, we do so because we think they are useful. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
10. Our liability
We provide this website as it is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on information published here, or from the site being unavailable.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
11. Privacy
How we handle personal data is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
12. Changes
We may update these terms as the service develops. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes fall to the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
14. Contact
